That You May Believe

"But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." John 20:31

All scripture is God-breathed. It is not reflective of any one author's personality because God supernaturally directed every word that was written to ensure its perfect accuracy. God's Word is His "infalible revelation to man". He chose to write it through select, chosen authors, but it is no less accurate than if He had written every word with His own hand.

The Word of God was written to record the events of the past, teach history, impart the law, share through literature, record prophetic messages and prophesy about the future. All this so that we might "believe that Jesus is the Christ" and have "life in His name", which is salvation.

Thank You Father for breathing life into Your Word so that I would believe. Thank You that Your Word is my manual for life, my daily bread, and the source by which I am equipped for every good work. In Jesus' name, amen.
